Matthew Devaux

Matthew Devaux is the Managing Director and Senior Project Manager at Alpha Engineering & Construction Ltd., with over 23 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Structural Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and is a certified Project Manager from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. He is a registered member of the Professional Engineers Ontario, the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago, and the Association of Professional Engineers of Trinidad and Tobago.

Since joining Alpha Engineering & Construction Ltd. in 2006, Matthew has been instrumental in the successful delivery of numerous high-profile construction projects across Trinidad and Tobago, including commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, and complex renovations. Under his leadership, Alpha has solidified its reputation as a reliable and innovative construction firm.

Matthew’s expertise spans project planning, contract management, and construction supervision, with a specialization in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects meet strict quality, cost, and timeline objectives. He has overseen the construction and renovation of major facilities such as the First Citizens Bank branches, Southern Medical Centre, and the UWI Chemistry Building.

With a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction, Matthew continues to lead Alpha Engineering & Construction Ltd. in executing projects that meet the highest standards, contributing to the growth and development of Trinidad and Tobago's infrastructure.
